EDGING

Rnd 1: Join thread with sl st in any corner of the handkerchief; ch 1, 2 sc in same sp, work 117 sc evenly sp across to next corner,*2 sc in corner, work 117 sc evenly sp across to next corner; rep from *around; join with sl st to first sc: 476 sc.

Rnd2: Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 3, sc in next sc,* ‡ ch 3, sk next sc, (sc in next sc, ch 3, sk next sc) 58 times ‡‡, sc in next sc, ch 3, sc in next sc; rep from * 2 times more, and then rep from ‡ to ‡‡ once; join with sl st to first sc: 240 ch-3 sps.

Rnd 3: Sl st in first ch-3 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, c1, (dc, ch 1) 6 times in next ch-3 sp, * sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, (dc, ch 1) 6 times in next ch-3 sp; rep from * around; join with slst to first sc; finish off.

HALO

Join metallic braid with sl st around ring; ch 1 40 sc in ring; join with sl st to first sc; finish off.

FINISHING

Fold Handkerchief to form Angel as folls: Hold handkerchief with 1 corner up and rs facing. Beg 2 1/2" in from 1 outside corner, fold center of handkerchief in 1/2" accordion folds to within 2 1/2" of second outside corner. Tie length of thread around center of folds to secure.

Place plasic foam ball directly above thread on ws of handkerchief. Bring top corner over foam ball, smoothing to form head. Tie second piece of thread beneath ball to form neck.

Fold outside corners to center front and tack tog at bottom edge. Spread sides to form wings.

Attach Halo to head and add bow to front.

This can be used as an ornament or decoration.
