JAN'S NEEDLEWORK

Come in and enjoy my favorite needlework sites and patterns.
I am a multi craft person, as with this page and others in my domain, these are the things I like.

This page is dedicated to my Grandmother

Me and Grandma

I learned to crochet from my grandmother, Tansy, on my mother's side.
She was a very patient teacher, I learned on the very thin crochet thread and very small needle.
I must have been 6 years old.

What I remember most, were the beautiful table cloths and the wonderful baskets and vases, that stood tall from being starched with sugar.
Being tall for my age, I could stand on tip toe and taste the sugar in those beautiful baskets.

Today I make afghans and many crocheted things for my two daughters, which I hope will make them want to carry on the tradition of crocheting in the family.
