Paint the inside and outside of the egg shell (two different colors are best). Let dry.
Melt wax and prepare wick.. Now pour the wax into the egg shell. (putting the egg shell in the egg cup will keep it up right. If you are doing many, using the empty egg carton to set the shells in and add the wax will work well.)
Imagine your Easter table with different pastel colored egg shell candles at each persons place setting. (A nice gift to take home.)
At Christmas, the shells done in all red and green colors, set between greenery in the middle of a table.
Thanksgiving, orange and gold colors, with leaves and acorns.
Well you get the idea, it is endless.

Peanut can holder
Take an empty peanut can and wash it out and dry. Cover the can with contact paper to match your decor. Now you have a holder for you penciles, glue sticks, paint brushes, etc.

This is a great way to use up left over material pieces. Any kind of fabric will do.
You need: Fabric piece 16 1/2 X 5 1/2-sewing machine or glue-Ribbon or cord for tie.
Fold the fabric in half length ways. Sew or glue up the sides. Using pinking shears gives the opening edges a nice finish. Turn the bag right side out. Stuff the bag with lavender, potpourri or a gift. Using ribbon or cord, tie the top tightly.
To use this as a present--add a small cookie cutter or charm to the tie.

To save your big expensive candles--let it burn down just enough to fit a small tea light candle into the top and now you can burn that. they are easy to change when needed and are a lot cheaper than buying a whole new large candle.

Boxes from Cards
Make a templet from a piece of cardboard, 1 inch in width. Cut the card on the center fold. The picture half is the box top. The written side is the bottom of the box. With an exacto knife, lightly score all sides of the box top, using the templet. On the short side cut from the edge to the fold mark at each corner. Fold up all sides. Using double stick tape or glue to secure each corner, forming box. Do the same for the bottom of the box, but cut off 1/8 inch all around and then use the templet.
This is a good way to recycle cards and have no cost gift boxes.
Tip: You can display some of your favorite cards, by matting and framing them and hang on the wall in a grouping.
